Green Academy

The “Green” stands for the focus Green Academies have on preserving the natural environment. “Academy” emphasises the engagement of students. Students will be empowered to identify their specific needs, focusing on four pillars: Water security, Clean energy, Biomass production and Waste management. Students, together with their teachers, will develop and implement their own “Sustainability Plan” in line with the UNESCO Green Academy concept.
Sustainability
The scientific consensus is that climate is changing due to anthropogenic activities and unfortunately, the effects of climate change are disproportionately affecting those who have not been responsible for the emissions in the past. The effects are already being felt all around the world, but especially in developing countries, and places without the infrastructure to protect from flooding, storms, droughts, and so on.
